...and you're all invited! September 2009 saw the second intake of students for our Portfolio/Exhibition course. As before, the aim of this course is to bring students through the creative process of preparing, shooting and processing a photo project with the aim of putting on a joint exhibition at the end of the course. 8 students have reached the end of this process and over 80 shots are currently being printed and framed. The exhibition will be held on Saturday the 27th and Sunday the 28th of February, 2010, in the Eircom/Meteor Headquarters beside Hueston Station.

Our thanks go to Eircom and Meteor for providing their wonderful space in their new HQ at Heuston South Quarter beside Heuston Station to us for this exhibition.
CARMICHAEL CENTRE
The exhibition is also raising awareness of the Carmichael Centre for Voluntary Groups, an organisation which is committed to building stronger charitable, community and voluntary groups nationwide by providing the shared services, targeted training, good practice and governance support they need to build effective and sustainable organisations. In fact they work in a way similar to the way our Exhibition Course is run, providing expertise, guidance and space to those who would have difficulty gaining access to these services otherwise. Carmichael House will have an information stand at the exhibition and will be providing a free raffle of two tickets for their Good Friday Concert in St Patrick’s Cathedral on Friday 2nd April. More information about Carmichael Centre can be found here.
